Kimmer, congrats on the glucose test! It's such a relief, isn't it? Okay, so I have a question for you ladies. Does it drive you ABSOLUTELY CRAZY when somebody asks how much longer you have to go, and when you tell them, they reply with, "Wow, you still have a long way to go!" It irritates the c___p out of me for some reason. I feel like I've been pregnant now for like 3 years, I've got less than 10 weeks to go, and you're telling me I've still got a long way to go. It just makes me feel so frustrated. Am I being hormonal?

mcbee - I started cracking up when I read your post. I do understand. I went from people not even being able to tell I was pregnant about a month ago to now people asking when it's time... It is annoying...especially when you feel like you've been pregnant for foever and you just want to meet your little one now! I have my first baby shower this weekend, and I'm pretty excited! Hopefully I get a lot of stuff off my registry - fxed :) I still feel pretty good, although my back has ben bugging me more and more. How is everyone else? Hey - what do BH contractions feel like?

Kimmer23 - October 31

Oh, and babee - glad to see you are doing well! An,d jeni - welcome to the third triemester (officially)!!

bbdreams - October 31

Hey Mcbee - I can totally understand what you're saying! I started to show fairly early(I'm short and pet_te so baby had no where to go but out). A lady serving my a cashout asked when I was due a few weeks ago and when I said Jan she gasped "Oh I thought you were almost due - you're so big!" I wanted to reach out and smack her! Like I don't feel huge enough!!!! Some people just don't think before they speak! So now I have been feeling like I'm too big - but my doctor a__sures me I'm measuring exactly right and that my weight gain is exactly where she wants it(she wants me to gain a bit extra since I was so tiny to begin with) so she says 35 pounds, possibly up to 40 pounds....GULP! That freaks me out - but it's for the baby so I will try not to worry about my body size and keep in mind that I can lose it after she's born. Oh and Kimmer - speaking of baby showers, I can't wait! Mine isn't until Nov 23rd!!!

I hear you all on the less than tactful comments from strangers...I was at the store checking out last Saturday and the lady said "When are you due?" and I said January and she shook her head, clucked her tongue and said "you look like you are going to pop NOW". It really made me mad, like, who asked for her advice anyway. My hubby thinks its cute that I am showing so much, but I don't think I can stand another 11 weeks of people asking me if I am SURE that I am not carrying twins! And I am a little touchy on that comment seeing that I originally had twins with this pg and lost one at 6 weeks. I haven't had any strangers touch my tummy yet, I think that's creepy when people do that! I failed my 1 hr glucose test (BOO) so I have to do the 3 hour one next Friday. That sucks! I still feel pretty good though, just have trouble getting comfy at night to sleep. Have a great weekend +++Cyndi+++

Hello ladies!!!! How is everyone feeling? I am starting to get really tired and my back is achy. I failed my glucose test :( I am so depressed!!! I bought all the candy I wanted becuase its after halloween and it was on sale now i cant even eat it!! My husband is doing quite well getting it out of the house however;). Only 10 weeks to go until my c-section!!!!! mcbee- i totally agree with what you are saying when ppl tell me that i still have a long way to go it makes my blood boil! i am ready to get the baby here and i know that i still have time to wait! i dont need complete strangers coming up to tell me that. Does anyone else find it infuriating when ppl you dont know come up to you in say walmart or target and just grab your stomach and start rubbing all over you? It makes me crazy. i was in high school when i was pregnant with my first and i hated it when ppl would touch me and that was ppl i knew! now that total strangers are doing it its driving me batty!! maybe its just me being sensitive or too hormonal or something but i can't stand it. the only person i want touching my belly is my husband....and not even him some of the time!! have a good one ladies, hope everyone had a safe holiday 3 weeks and counting until thanksgiving!!!!!! i need to go to sleep or i'll fall asleep at work tonight!!

mcbee - November 2

misscrotts, I couldn't help but laugh when I saw your post. When you said the only person you want to touch your stomach is your husband and sometimes you don't even want him touching it! I am so on the same page with you there! For Halloween, a good friend of mine had a costume wedding. It was really cute and a lot of fun! I wore all black and drew a baby skeleton on my stomach with puffy paint (I was an X-ray) and my hubby went as the x-ray doc. Well, I had no idea that people would think the costume was so cute and that they could randomly come up and touch my belly. All night, I want to smack people's hands away! UGH!

HI ladies. I'm sorry you didn't pa__s your glucose test misscrotts. I'm 31 weeks today and I have a horrible cold. I feel just awful. I don't know if I can take anything. Other than that I feel really good. I only get back pains when I'm cleaning. Does anyone else have a hard time drinking all the water that your supposed to drink? I'm having such a hard time drinking all that water. Well I hope everyones doing great. Amanda

babeedust2all - November 3

Hello Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well. I had my appointment this morning (I'm now going every 2 weeks), and baby's heartbeat was 144. Also, I'm now measuring a week ahead at 31 weeks! I asked for a requisition to check my iron levels. We'll see if my supplements are helping. I have an u/s on Thursday to give a baseline of baby's size and weight. Therefore, if I start measuring small as I started doing with d/s at 38.5 weeks, they'll have something to compare the size to, since with him, my most recent u/s had been done at 18.5 weeks. I'm also debating asking for a prescription for a ma__sage at my next appointment, because my back is getting sore. I find it hard to stand up after lying down, and it will probably help. How's everyone else doing? Kimmer, how was your shower?

Kimmer23 - November 4

Hey girls! misscroft and cyndi - sorry about your glucose tests! Hopefully you will pa__s the long one. austynsmommy - I hope you feel better soon. Babee - my shower was a lot of fun. It was nice to see my family, and I got a lot of cute stuff (and most of it practical too :)). Since I'm a first time mom, how many outfits and sleepers (0-3 mos) and all that do you think you need? I haven't got many, but I plan to buy some...just curious. Babee - so, you are measuring ahead now, but you started measuring small with your last one?? I don't know what to expect, but I've been slightly behind (like a week) throughout until now. However, at my last u/s at 20 weeks, the baby was measuring slightly ahead...so, who knows? Well, take care ladies!!

baby2jan13 - November 4

Yay pa__sed my glucose test! Sorry to those who have to go for the long one! Sitting there an hour was bad enough! I see my Doc tonight so I'm curious if I'm still measuring 2 weeks ahead. Think I'll ask if I get another u/s to check his size before I deliver. I also had toxemia with my first child and my BP is borderline so I'm always nervous they will put me on bed rest again. Hopefully I have a few more weeks for that yet. Everyone else big and tired :) ? People think I'm about to have the baby but oh well. I'll only get bigger! This little guy is getting very strong and powerful! I'm seeing my Doc every 2 weeks as well which is really nice. My baby shower is next weekend so I'm excited! THis is my second but my son is 7 now so I have nothing left that's usable so I'm lucky to get another shower. I'm dying to organize and get stuff ready now that it's getting close!

misscrotts - November 5

Kimmer- you will be surprised about how many onesies and sleepers you really do use. for an"around the house" or even going to the store they are amazing. I have already bought three packages for my baby, plus the ones i still had and the ones that people have given me. Mcbee, i am so glad that you agree with me!!! at least we dont have long to go with people thinking our foreheads say "try me" right lol. The thing that makes me maddest is not even that its when the baby is born and people think they can touch him/her. that is gross, i'm sorry i have no idea what you were touching a minute ago get out of here!! my husband is a clean freak if we go into the store he will put on a pound of that alchohol gel, so at least i know that everyone in the hospital touching the baby will be clean he'll be sure of that!! is anyone else having terrible acid reflux?? i know its gross, but i have to wait at least four hours after getting out of bed to eat due to my terrible reflux, i will just constantly throw up stomach acid. i had to go on maternity leave from the job i was working, they didnt accept my pregnancy restrictions. told me they "weren't acceptable" so i am getting a job at the local bath and body works for seasonal help. they only need me thru christmas anyway. I am starting to get really exited!! i will have the baby nine weeks from tomorrow! seems crazy to be that close but here we go! i am kinda scared about this c section however, i dont wanna do the spinal, but its better to be awake when the baby is born than wake up and say ok....so is it out yet? alright all, have a good night and i hope everything is well for everyone! if anyone has ne suggestions about my reflux and/or something to make it better/DISSAPPEAR please let me know its terrible to not be able to do anything becuase of this stupid stuff. it goes on all day, even when i have just eaten its not food its the acid. its rediculous. thanks!!! and if i dont talk before then...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

mcbee - November 6

misscrotts, I also have terrible acid reflux (have for years). I take generic zantac pretty much every day and I drink Mylanta or Maalox as needed. That's all I've really got for advice, but it seems to work pretty well for me.

austynsmommy - November 6

I've been taking that generic zantac also. It helps me alot. I can actually sleep now.

Hi ladies how are you all? Wow I didn't realise I was m.i.a for so long, don't know about you guys but I can't stop cleaning, it's driving me crazy lol. Sorry to hear some of you didn't pa__s your glucose test but good to hear that some did. Well my last midwife app went really well, bubs is doing great & I am happy to say I too pa__sed my glucose test. Oh & I totally agree about strangers touching our belly's, it would be s_xual hara__sment at any other time, so why do people think it's OK to just grope at a pregnant woman? But I do really quite love hubby & the kids touching & talking to my belly though, it's really sweet, especially when bubs responds by moving & kicking around. Oh & yes I too hate people commenting on how BIG I am. Some people say I look small for 7mths & others say 'wow can't believe you STILL have 2mths to go, your going to be HUGE'. Being my 3rd pregnancy I have learnt to ignore the comments cause you will NEVER be able to make everyone happy - so to speak.

mcbee - November 7

Good morning, ladies! Kimmer, I'm not really sure how many sleepers will be needed as this is my first one. However, my hubby and I are always on the go and I want to make sure that I have plenty so I'm not doing laundry every other day. So, I went to a neighborhood garage sale and bought a ton of them. They're all in perfect shape because they weren't used that long. Also, I've caught the cold that's going around. I had an doctor appt. yesterday, and he didn't offer any relief. So, I'm stuffed up and achy. Bleh! Okay, time to let you guys in on my current paranoia. I'm getting really excited because my shower is next weekend, but I'm sort of terrified that nobody will show up. I had around 30 people to invite, and my sister-in-law, best friend and mom all wanted to throw me a shower. Since I had so many people, I just told them that I would split up my list and we could do two showers. So, my bff and mom decided to throw one together and my sister-in-law recruited a mutual friend to help her. But now, one of them is next weekend, and I'm afraid that, because I split up my list, I'll only have a couple of people show up to each one. I'm being paranoid, I know!
