Hi ladies! Well, my appointment didn't go so great...now it seems my little guy has turned alright...to full breech! What a little stinker. They are going to schedule me for a c-section. I know there is still a chance he could turn, but my Dr. basically said in my case it's not likely. She said I had a tight abdominal wall and stared at my belly during my entire appointment with a very doubtful look on her face. He's already in there so tight! I had a feeling it had happened because when he was tranverse, his head was always higher than his b___t...so naturally his head would more than likely move up rather than down. My gut is telling me that he isn't going to budge...he hasn't been head-down since I was 7 months! So it looks like I'm headed for a c-section, at week 39...I'm 35 weeks today so that's in a month from now. Boooo! It really sucks. My DH was only taking a week off of work and now it looks like most of that time will be spent in the hospital, instead of at home, settling in and bonding with his new son. I won't even be able to hold him right after he is born :(

Renee, I had c-section and was out in 3 days. IThe recovery in the hospital isn't much longer than if you were to be in the hospital delivering v____ally. Now the recover at home is going to be longer, but at least you'll be at home. At least you have a date!!! I was told early on with my little one that she probably wouldn't turn into the head down position. So, I was glad that I was able to mentally prepare for the section. Good luck!

reneenay - don't feel so bad about the csection. I know it sucks to not have that bonding experience right after but they are pretty good about bringing the baby in as soon as possible after a csection. My 2nd was breech, and ever since then, I've had repeats. This is my 5th and I'll be getting my tubes tied, which kind of makes me sad, I mean, i'm only 28, what if I want to try one more time? But dh says no because I've had so many problems this time ): I was in the hospital 4 days after my last one, but it really depends on the hospital.

Hi Ladies, Kate you are so lucky to have your "Show" so soon, I am due May 5th and hoping to see mine soon. Kate, what does it feel like?? Can you feel cramping before the "Show"? And, reneenay I am sorry to hear about your Lil boy at lest he's healthy, also you know exactly when he will be born. I think there are some good things about C-Sections. As for me I have been having so much pressure in my lower abdomen area, sometimes it hard for me to work because the pressure is affecting my pelvic bone. I have an appointment Friday and May 2nd and then May 9th. Question: I thought I was supposed to go to the doctor once a week once I entered my ninth month??? How often are you ladies going to the doctor???

Oh, wow, ladies, this is really it! I can't believe we're halfway through April already. Some of our ladies are considered full term (or getting close!) and the rest of us are just counting down the days until we are too! I had my childbirth cla__s this weekend and it was actually pretty fun. We did a lot of stuff with counter pressure (pressing on the hips to relieve pain) and breathing techniques. We also got a tour of the hospital. Now that I've seen everything and have a better idea of what to expect, I really think I'm ready! All I've been thinking about is Gavin making his appearance. I'm secretly hoping my next appointment shows I'm a little dialated, although I'll only be 35 weeks, so I'm doubting it and even if I am it probably wont mean much. But I can't believe that soon I'll be holding him in my arms. KATE, looks like you'll be holding your little one pretty soon! How exciting! and RENEE, sorry to hear about the breech position. The upside is that you now have a date for your little ones arrival! And you may not be able to hold him but you will get to see him and kiss him. Recovery will go pretty fast as long as you take it easy and not push yourself too hard afterwards. The bonus is that it means DH will have to help a lot more, which will be a great bonding experience for him and make things a bit easier on you. You'll be back to normal before you know it!

Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum. I am due May 22. I love reading your posts and experiences. It helps me understand if what I am experiencing is normal. I will share some of my pregnancy changes and sensations for those who want to compare
I really feel like she is coming earlier that 5-22. In the last week, baby has dropped a tiny bit. I am happy because here feet have been in my ribs for 6 weeks now. I think she will drop further. She gets the hiccups all the time. I can feel how she is situated. I have been having labor dreams nearly every night now. I am feeling downward pressure.all the time. I have looser stools and a smaller appet_te then two weeks ago.. I am having BH contractions but this has been going on for a while. My b___sts are leaking. I am tired, but that is probably mostly due to my lack of sleep. I was 50% effaced, 0 dialtated at 33 weeks. I am 35 weeks now and am not sure if anything has changed. The doctor does not want to do an internal exam until 38 weeks. This is fine with me because the exam hurt like hell. Lastly, baby is head down, probably occiput traverse or anterior (facing my spine). I can feel her b___t in the middle of my belly and the feet are in my right rib cage. I nor the doctor could feel her head. He said I was carrying too much water. But I do not feel all that bloated. I did not loose the mucus plug yet.
I love hearing your stories.
Take Care everyone!

Hello ladies, just got back from my weekly appointment. Uterus is still growing (usually stops around 35 weeks) but that's good since I was measuring smaller to begin with. I have an u/s on Friday and if my l/o drops under the 10% percentile, my OB said she will consider inducing... u/s at 30 weeks showed I was around 45%, last one at 33 weeks at 15%... we are not talking measurements, which are right on target, only the weight seems smaller. I am kind of bummed down, but there isn't really anything I can do about it. I'm trying to stay positive. Otherwise, I'm stuck with a cold, which is not fun, since I am already out of breath most of the time! How's everyone doing??

Hi ladies, Cg Let us know how your u/s turns out. I hope evrything turns out fo rthe better. Sorry about the cold, get to feeling better okay ;-) laurenn11 welcome to the group! Chatty yeah its hard to beleive that it is th emiddle of April, before to much longer more will be poppin em out. lol. I was packing my hospital bag over the weekend and dh and i just kindof stared at it, like omg this is extremely close, no more few more months its more like next month esp since this one is halfway gone. We did the hospital tour last night and after we kindof just rode home in silence. Its pretty crazy. You know after years of thinking I was not going to be able to have kids and then actually being able to carry this one has really been a great adventure. I just cant get over the fact that its actually going to happen. Wow. Hey Renee yeah thats a bummer about the c- but think Cinco de Mayo or even Mothers day. Like the other ladies said at least you wont be playing the waiting game :-) You will have your wonderful son before you know it!!! Kate how did the docs go???? are you still incubating? JAIRIA where have you been?? Just because you already gave birth doesnt mean you can avoid us now, lol. How is your lil one doing??? How are you feeling!!!! get you b___t back here dangit!!! Well heck I suppose I should go back to work. Really hating it, just to tired to full with an office full of gossipers and whiners.... 17 more days of work left then thats it!!

Well, I had my last "regular" appointment yesterday, at 34 weeks, 6 days, and I was measuring 39!!! Imagine my shock! Hopefully that means baby will be good sized and everything will be good to go for my csection next week at 36 weeks. I am a bit nervous for my amnio, and we live an hour from the hospital. I have to be there at 6, which means I have to get up at 430, which means dh cant go, because he has to take care of the other kids ): So I'm a little bummed I have to go alone & scared about the whole needle in the stomach process!!! Welcome lauren11! CgGirl - I hope everything goes ok and you don't have to get induced!

RMC, wow! That is a shocker! Its funny, you're measuring 39 weeks and to be induced next week. Seems like baby wants to pretend like he's coming right on schedule! Good luck with the amnio. I do think they put some numbing medicine on before they insert the needle, so hopefully it wont be that bad. Just be sure you can take it easy afterwards because you may have some cramping. ---- SO I am 34 weeks today! A big step, because according to my doctor, if I were to go into labor starting TODAY they wouldn't stop it! I'm getting really excited. These last few weeks are going to last forever especially since you ladies are so close to having your babies!

Hello again, May Mommies. I feel a need to complain... Tonight I am miserable! I don't know what I've done to myself, but my back and ribs are KILLING me. (although I'm sure eating a large dinner didn't help) I am really considering just going to bed and sleeping it off, but its just so early I don't think I can! =( Normally its not this bad, but tonight even laying on my side isn't helping much. Argh!

Hi ladies! CgGirl, I know you are worried but I think everything will be just fine. Hopefully you won't have to be induced. RMC, that is great that your baby decided to get bigger earlier...it's almost like he knows he's coming early! Well, my c-section date has been set for May 15th. Hopefully I will make it! That is only 4 days before my actual due date. They are supposed to do it 1 to 2 weeks before your due date but that was the only date they had available. So hopefully if the Dr thinks I am going to go earlier from my weekly exams, I will just be scheduled with another Dr. Not my first choice, but then again, none of this was my first choice. I just don't want to end up going into labor and having an emergency c-section. Thanks for the support ladies. I am coming to terms with what's going on and am trying to make the best of it. What helps the most is knowing that at the end of it all, my son will be here! I can't wait! I'm getting very excited. Just went to a b___st-feeding cla__s tonight. I highly recommend going to one if you plan on b___st-feeding. It made me feel a lot more confident about the whole thing. How is everyone else doing? Chattykathy, hang in there...it won't be too long now!

Hey Ladies! Hope all is well. Just checking in to see how everyone has been doing. I've been pretty good for the most part. Having issues with BF right now, we've split up for the time being so needless to say, I've been a little bummed. He's still going to be there for the birth of the baby and to support him but we are completely done. Other than that drama I had my baby shower at work yesterday and it was awesome. I got a lot of really good stuff and had the prettiest cake. My family/friend baby shower is this weekend in SC so I'm hoping the little one stays put until I return on Sunday.

Disaya - sorry to hear about the bf, but I'm glad he's still being supportive about the pregnancy. chattykathy - it takes me HOURS to fall asleep every night because I am so uncomfortable. My ribs on my right side hurt constantly and the only thing that seems to help is when I take a hot shower or bath. Other than that, he's jammed up inside of them pretty good, all the time. reneenat - wow, only 4 days before your due date? I would think they'd be scared you might go into labor earlier than that. I had to have an emergency csection the first time I had one. I went to a regular doctor's appt and they sent me straight across the street to the hospital. It was pretty scary, needless to say, so hopefully they'll find a way to fit you in earlier. I'm gearing up for my baby shower on Saturday, yay!
