Hey everyone. We just got back from vacation. We had a great time and my husband and I are actually doing surprisingly well. I feel like my belly grew a lot while we were gone. The last week my belly has been in a lot of pain from stretching and the day we flew back I had painful contractions for about 2 hrs after we landed. It was very weird. I didnt get this uncomfortable until my 34th week with my last one (I never even had BH). This time Im at 29 wks 3 d right now and Im getting really uncomfortable. I have to have an u/s on the 25th because one of the babys kidneys was enlarged in the last one. Miss P hang in there! I know you can make it! I saw some new names on here so I hope I can get to know some of you. Me and my husband bought some new baby clothes while on vac so Im starting to get excited. I just wish I could nest but we may or may not be moving so I dont know. Anyways, hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for the well wishes.

Welcome back, Patience!! Glad to know everything is going good! Same goes for me... I'm feeling uncomfortable at an earlier stage with this pregnancy - as a matter of fact, I had the toughest time getting comfy and falling asleep last night! Every night seems to be getting worse! I couldn't get comfortable in bed - I was tossing and turning from my left side to my right side. I finally decided to go on the couch... that didn't help. I went back to bed and finally fell asleep around 3:30... but had to wake up at 6am for work! I feel like I have less energy as well. Good luck on u/s next week. I've got my next appt on the 23rd. I'm 29w 1d. Jennifer - hope you're feeling okay : )

Hi ladies! Patience that is wonderful news! I am so happy to hear it. Mrs Sandy- Big babe!! :) I am feeling good still the only weird thing I am having this time is my perinium is really sore...I am a__suming it is because my last delivery was only 14mo ago and I had 4th degree lacerations so the more pressure on it is causing some discomfort. It feels like a head is about to pop out! :) Last time I did have a lot of crotch pain but that was the ligaments- I had a PT help me out with that with some exercises and they have worked a lot (I just saw her at the gym and asked her and she gave me full session on how to elevate the pain!) so this time I am not feeling it at all! I think the babe MAY have turned...I can't tell. But the kicks feel different. Where is everyone from again and what are your names? I am Elizabeth "Liz" from Minnesota.

4th degree eh Liz? Eeks. Was it horrible? I've only had c-sections, but am hoping for a vbac this time, but when you say that I wonder what is worse! I'm super uncomfortable already, everyone thinks I"m huge and due any day. My belly is quite large really. Both of my other two were over 9 lbs, so I'm figuring it's another big one. I'm from Ontario btw. If anyone is looking to do cloth diapers, I went and checked out the motherease ones at the factory store and they look really nice. Don't look any harder than disposables and probably save a lot of money in the long run.

Yes, you know at the time it wasn't bad because it was my only one so I didn't know any different. It was a pretty painful recovery but I thought that was just normal you know? But I guess the pain was only in my crotch and only when I would walk...besides right after of course but I think most people experience that with v____al deliveries. I guess when I think about labor I still get really excited, I love the labor part- I think delivery although painful is just full of so much excitement (Yes I am a strange one!) Good luck on the VBAC- I really hope you get to do it!! It is an amazing experience going through it. You obviously have seen it based off of your facebook pictures. I a__sume that is your sister because you look a lot alike. I was in the room with my sis too! If I had a C I would try a VBAC!

Hi girls and glad to see everyones fine. Patience, good to have you back and im glad your break with dh went really well. Im 29weeks tomorrow and having the most horrendous time with not sleeping, only its been months now and i cant seem to get any. The further it goes the worse it gets. Its at the point where i spend practically the whole night awake in agony and im almost crying with frustration. If its not my lower back / pelvis, its now started to hurt in my rib cage and recently i keep waking up in a panic because i cant breathe or start choking! Its awful. Has anybody got any advice on this because im at my wits end. I was blaming the lack of sleep on the stress id been going through, but i am feeling a lot better about tylers prospects now, so its just purely physical problems that are keeping me awake. Help!! x x

Liz- that is my sister yes. She had a really nice birth and I'm hoping for one too! We do look alike I know, we were both pregnant for our first at the same time and the whole town was confused!
Miss P, I've had a hard time sleeping as well. My rib tends to hurt alot and I feel like I can't breathe half the day and it's worse at night when I lie down. Have a gla__s of wine. No kidding. Helps for awhile anyway!

Well last night i managed to get 3 hrs in a row and then another 3hrs so i felt much better this morning,. Still tired but it makes such a difference to just getting a half hour here and there. I did it by piling every pillow and cushion in the house to make a mountain on my bed and i went to sleep practically upright and it really helped, especially with the rib pain and breathing. Saird - you should try it and let me know how you get on! Also, i was thinking of using the reusable nappies too so i might check out that website. Seems like they save a lot of money in the long run, i saw one magazine that said they save like £700 over the course of 2yrs, thats like 1400 dollors for you us ladies. Seems like a good choice! Anyone tried them before because im a novice!! x x

Im going to go with cloth this time too. Ive decided on prefolds with a cover. That is the cheapest way to do it. It will be my first time with them. I am just trying to decide on a diaper cover now. The mothers ease covers are supposed to be great but too bulky and there are pros and cons to a lot of them so I think I am going to buy three or 4 different covers and try them out.

I think alot of people are doing cloth now, since they are so much easier and people are realizing what a waste disposables are. My sister did and is doing prefolds and she likes that they drive so much faster than say an all-in-one. I like the motherease style with the snaps, because as my sister said with velcro she would end up with one big ball in the wash at the end. Plus I like the idea of only buying one set of diapers as opposed to needing a different size when they are bigger. I guess I will find out! There are so many sights out there and so many kinds!

Pardon my ignorance ladies but do you still just rinse those diapers in the toilet water like back in the day? I just use Pamper Swaddlers and love them but they are so expensive and such a waste. So do you just rinse in the toilet then machine wash?

If baby is exclusively b___stfed than you do not have to do anything but toss in the wash. Once they are on other things though you do have to rinse in the toilet to get the excess off. They sell sprayers that attach to your toilet plumbing so I plan on getting one of those when I need it. Dont feel ignorant! I have just started learning about this stuff the last couple of months and Im still confused sometimes!

Thanks Patience! Yes this babe will be exclusively b___st-fed for the first 6 mo. So that makes it easier! :)

Good grief i am so enormous and i dont think i can face getting any bigger. I am like freakily large. Ive only put weight on my bump so far and it seems to be streching out at least a foot in front of where i actually am so i keep hitting things, dropping things, getting food constantly down every top. I am such a clutz. I think its partly pregnancy and partly sleep deprivation. I only had the one nights good sleep and last night went back to the half hour here and there, toss and turn all night nightmare. I just cant believe that if alls well with tyler i may still have 11 weeks to go and actually get even bigger!! Im almost hoping he does come at 34weeks, and then i feel terrible for thinking that immediately after. Anyne else all messed up generally? x x
