Liz - I heard good things about those post-partum bands. If you don't feel like spending $60, the one I purchased at Motherhood only cost $20. I heard you can also purchase them at Wal-Mart and/or Target, but didn't see them there when I physically went to the stores.

Thank you Aryanna! I actually was at the chiropractor today and asked him about something I heard about them doing the manual version (which I wouldn't ever have a chiropractor do because I would want close fetal monitoring if I had it done) but he did confirm my babe's head is under my ribs! :) Oh well...only 34 weeks...time to turn! But I am going to look at that book! Mari- Thanks...I am going to check it out

Yeah if your babe's head is under your ribs you definitely want it to turn soon before there isn't enough room for it! My baby was head down but lying on the wrong side (they should be with their backs on our left sides) so i went to the beach and dug a hole and laid my belly in it! My belly was like a hammock then, more room to move for baby. Yesterday the midwives found the hearbeat on the left side! Apparently the worst thing you can do is to always been leaning back on sofas or in recliners. Try all fours or leaning over a yoga ball or something. Good luck everybody!

Angel, so sorry I'm not sure what to say? i guess you need to speak to your doctor but maybe try a hot water bottle/.heat pack until you can chat to your doc? Sorry I know that's probably not much help! Britt...I am due october 1st so i hope i am first!!! Also...for the positioning thing..my baby as oblique, then transverse, then oblique....this went on for weeks! Then finally at my 35 week appointment baby was head down and started to engage! Try not to worry too much, most babies do turn in time! I walk quite a bit though and try not to recline too much either so i think that does help. Siard..i'm also still loving my 'nap time' with my 2 year old and not sure i am ready for that rountine to be changed all over again! what have we got ourselves in to? ha!

**sorry i didn't mean siard!**

Gosh Angel I don't know what to tell you. It is probably because your babe is already so engaged that it is pushing on your intestines or something. I would talk to the doc too. Thanks for the advice girls. I have a few things I will try know. The one thing that is making me a little nervous is that I am still doing turbo kickboxing 2 times a week and I worry that may have something to do with the babies position. I know at 34 weeks though you still have plenty of time...if I went in today he wouldnt' even talk to me abou the position...not until after 35 weeks at my clinic...but it's hard not to you know...well looks like the yoga ball is coming up tonight!!

Hey everyone, Angel I would call your doc and see if they can suggest something. I felt the same way and have been on colace since like week 12. I was in agony until then. I cant imagine what it would be like being so far along and having that problem. I got no sleep last night. The baby was having a dance party ALL night and still is and it got to the point of being very painful. I actually wondered if there was a full moon last night (there wasnt), because noone in my house was sleeping, dh could not sleep either and my ds came running into our bed scared of something at 1 am. Joey, you and I are due at the same time. Im technically due on Sept 30 but I responded to the board you started way back when because there were no sept mommies at the time! By the time there were other sept mommies I was like 5 months along so I stayed here. Anyways, you all have me interested in those belly bands now. I might have to look into one!

Hi everyone, this is my first posting here. I have been reading some of the posts and have to sadly admit that even tho I feel really bad reading about the pains and struggles this last trimester brings it is so comforting to knw that Im not the only one that feels that at this point ,I feel, that if I dont go into labor soon I may just have a nervous breakdown (crazy, huh?)! I recently turned 33, I am preg w/ my 3rd little one (a girl--she will be named Madelyn-Grace !!) and Im due Oct 1st. Not only can I not see my feet any longer but I have a 2 ft perimeter around me tht is invisible. I went into a quilt shop the other day, turned to my left and knocked over an entire quilting rack with my stomach--EMBARASSING!! The worst part, I was trying to help pick things up but could barely bend over to reach anything :P I guess I dont fit into isles that easily anymore!! Its so nice to know that we are in the final stretch. My bags are packed, my floors, cupboards, fridge and closets have been insanely cleaned and I have made my husband repaint the nursery twice (which was the end of his patience with me!) :P I am so looking forward to seeing her little face and cuddling with her I cant even stand it -- and even tho Im sure that after I deliver I will be a little sad that Im no longer pregnant (confession time)-- when I was cleaning my closets out I did sit on the floor holding my pre pregnancy clothes and cried like a baby because they didnt fit and I missed them-- Dont you just LOVE hormones?!?!

sdmommy that is soooo cute! You are almost there- congrats! Sounds like you are soo ready!! Angel, try to eat LOTS of fruit and fiber and stuff. I also started eating the Activia yougurt in Strawberry and it does wonders. Eat stews and soups, as solid foods may worsen the constipation- good luck!

Saird - September 5

Angel, I started using flax oil, 1 tsp every night dissolved in a bit of juice. And I drink green tea. Seems to help alot with the constipation.Or it did anyway, then the baby dropped lower and I feel like my bowels have no room at all to do anything. I think I would be in agony at this point if I didn't take my flax oil. Good luck.

Angel - I really hope you have some relief soon! That sounds awful. Had my fetal a__sessment appt yesterday. Of course they don't tell you a thing, but looked like things were still active contration-wise every three minutes and bumpy between. Nothing too strong, tho its still so strange that I don't feel them. I had to reschedual my midwife appt, bummer, my dd has a 15 months well baby on Thursday so thats when I reschedualed mine. Beats having to go across San Diego twice in one week, ugh. I have no energy these days. I have cla__ses schedualed for nov-dec which is a little soon, so hopefully things work out well. I'd rather my babies stay with dh than a sitter. If I can knock these out of the way I can start working like pt when dh leaves. well looks like its naptime for us!

Turns out i have a UTI...man what else could go wrong? Hang in there ladies...I'm now dialated to 4 and 90% effaced...so she could be coming anytime now!!! good luck with everything...

JNFR614 - September 5

Angel- I'm jealous! You're so close to having your baby! I wish it was me!!!! I've been ready for what seems like forever now.

Saird - September 6

Wow Angel really? Sounds like you could be anytime! I have no idea if I'm dialated or not, I"ve never been checked. My midwives are very into the natural way of things. I am curious though. Yesterday I was having a bunch of BH, they are kind of weird since they don't hurt, at least I think so. And I have so many shooting pains in the cervix. I like to think that is accomplishing something other than discomfort for myself!

CatsMommy - September 6

Welcome sdmommy! You're just too cute! I've got about 4 weeks to go! Aryanna - you say one teaspoon of flax oil a night? It only has 1gram of fiber, but you say it does the trick? I'm desperate! I just ran to Walgreens and purchased some castor oil but am hesitant to take it. I have never been this constipated before in my life - not even with my daughter! I've actually now developed hemorrhoids! Oh, I'm in such agony right now. I eat a ton of fiber (about 25-30 grams a day) and drink at least 4-6 gla__ses of water a day. I feel like an 85-year old grandma! I see my doc on Thursday for my internal exam. I start going every week now! I can't wait to get back to normal.
