Missed Period After Stopped Taking B C

I stopped taking b/c after I was finished with the pack for feb. Then I continued to have s_x unprotected throughout the month of March. My period was due around the 18th or 19th and has not showed up yet. A pregnancy test indicated not pregnant. Could I have missed my period due to stopping the b/c the month before?
