SoReady- Congrats!!! wow, how exciting! and i know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much, it could just be too early or the baby is developing slightly slower to have detected a heartbeat. try to stay positive and please keep us updated on how you get on!
ilovekids- what days/ dose have you decided on? and will you be taking anything else (folic acid, vitB, Robitussin etc?)

ilovekids - Thanks. I took 100mg on cd 5-9. I also had a mid-cycle scan and the hcg trigger shot on cd13.

Ren - Yes I have another u/s next week on the 21st. My OB would do it sooner in the week but she will be out of town until that Friday. I will be 8wks on the 21st so I am hoping to see 2 strong heartbeats.

Ren - Thanks for asking.
I went in last week and I feel like we are still in the same position that I was in before. When I went in I was exactly 8wks. The first baby measured 8wks 3days with a heartbeat of 170. The second baby only measured 6wks 3days (so that one didnt really grow) BUT we could see the heartbeat! So now we can see the smaller ones heartbeat but we cant hear it. I guess that is an improvement.
My OB said that she had never seen that before and it is her gut feeling that I will miscarry the second baby. I will go back in next week for another scan.
I am really hoping that both babies show good growth next week. It is crazy because we have no idea what is going on and there are no test that my dr can do to get us some answers.

Hey ladies, How is everyone?
In case anyone wanted my update on the twins, here it is:
Anyways, I saw my OB today and I had my third u/s. I am 9wks 5days. The bigger baby measured 10wks 1day and looked huge. The other baby was barely even there. My doc said that the other baby measured about the same size as before and being that we were using a portable u/s machine we couldnt zoom in enough to detect the heartbeat. (The normal u/s machine that we were gonna use broke while I was in the u/s room waiting to use it.) So my doc is going to treat this as a single pregnancy. I think that she is expecting the littler one to disappear by my next appointment. (In 5 weeks!)
I have had so many mixed emotions today! As I am lying there on the table doing the u/s, I am feeling so sad because I finally have to admit that I have lost that other baby. At the same time I am watching the screen and trying sooo hard not to laugh. Everytime the dr went to take a pic of the baby it would move and mess up her shot. She would get the pic lined up again and just as she would go to hit the b___ton baby would move. lol That baby was just a kickin' and twistin' about. lol On the portable machines, to hear the heart, the dr would have to zoom in on the baby, place a box around the heart, and type in some codes. Two times in a row, the baby moved (i think on purpose lol) while the dr was typing and mess it up. My dr couldnt keep from laughing! Then we could be talking and the baby would stay perfectly still.
I didnt realise that babies could be this active this early on.
I am glad that the bigger baby is healthy! And I cant wait until my next u/s so that I can see it again but I am very sad about the other.

SoReady- what a bitter-sweet appt indeed! I am so sorry for what you are going through! I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes very smoothly for you!
Ren- how are things your end? sending you abundant babydust and hope all the adoption stuff is progressing well. are you still fostering?
AFM- well, i've made an appt with my TCM doc for 2 weeks time, as we are looking to start trying next cycle. we have decided to go ahead with TCM (herbs and acupuncture) and 50mg of clomid for 2 cycles only. I was quite put off at the prospect of having twins again (bad mummy, i know!) and my doc didn't seem too encouraging when i said we were going to TTC again. she said given the trauma my body has been through (multiple c-sections, multiple pregnancy, high BP etc) and given my age, she was swaying more towards sterilization! (OMG)!
well, with that in mind, if we do go ahead- this will most certainly be the last pregnancy! and we've done the sums, and whether we have 1 or 2, it looks like i may have to give up work this time, and stay home to raise the kids. childcare for 5+ kids is out of our budget, plus my job involves regular travel/ time away from home! so, who knows! so much to think about!

greatgreta - Thats exciting that you are ready to start ttc again. I really wanted 3 or 4 kids but dh will only give me two. I hope that everything goes well this next time! Baby Dust!

Greta- We go to court tomorrow for our foster son and we should find out more about whether or not we will end up being able to adopt him. He is 7 weeks old and we have had him since he was 4 days old.
My doc said she would only recommend one more c-section. It made me upset to hear those words. I am not even 30 yet. The thought of not being able to have more babies makes me sad. She said she would prescribe me Clomid, but I haven't decided to take it yet. I have awful mood swings with it and I need to be here for our foster baby right now.

Hi girls. Im waiting for my period to come. Its a few days late. Im not pregnant because we have been safe so have not done a test. I think because im stressed about ttc again it has delayed my cycle. Im thinking of taking clomid 100mg days 2-7 none on cd8 and another on cd9.
How is everyone else doing?

hi everyone - hope you dont mind if i jump in here.
well i wasnt really TTC twins .. i got my BFP about a week ago .. ive heard when you get pregnant immediately after stopping the pill that theres a high chance of having twins?? i had a period 4/27, stopped my pill around the second week of may (middle of the pack), got last AF a few days after stopping (5/17), felt O pains 5/30-6/1 & cramped for awhile after that .. BFP on 6/11 .. what do you think my chances are of having two in there??
