My 3 month old was cooing a lot. He still does, but not nearly as much. Is this concerning?

I have the same problem here. He is more interested in playing with his hands/feet or his lip.

You worry too much KH. They change a lot in a very short period of time. My daughter stopped cooing and she now has whole converations, but only with me and not her mom. Maybe she's asking me for more toys?

Same with my four month old. Still focuses and laughs, but very little cooing.

If you have a videocamera make sureyou record the cooing and the smile. It all pa__ses before you know....

ive read that when this happens most of the time they take the focus off of the mental stimulation of talking and move it to more physical things such as kicking playing with his hands and feet things of that nature. hope this helps:D
