I got up for work yesterday and for the company meeting I put on my best chanel suit to impress my boss. Well, I worked all day oblivious to the fact that I had a barbie sticker stuck to my butt! I greeted my boss with firm handshake and a friendly smile, not knowing that my cheeks were stained by the graham cracker kisses I recieved earlier that morning. I complained that she kicks the back of my leather seats, I worry that she bit up legal briefs. What i worry about most is that all this will soon stop and she will be all grown up!!! She will trade her beatrix potter doll for a harry potter one, I worry that I will have to force her to kiss me,and instead of little crumbs, she will be leaving lipstick marks!! and instead of kicking my seats I will be worried that she will be stealing my car keys and driving at night, I am scared to death that my baby girl is growing up!!!!

me too, I just want to freeze time, even though every little new thing she learns amazes me and I am so happy, I can't help but wish she were still that tiny newborn still so dependant on me....

oh I am going to cry.... I don't want jesse to grow up!!!! Even now when I look at him, he is starting to look like a toddler!!

i know just want you mean pamela. rylee is 2 now and she is growing up so fast!!! she's already wanted me to paint her nails and put makeup on her!! time flies when you have someone so precious in your life!! p.s. forget about "you will live"... we all got what you were saying, and you weren't being pretentious.

This is a cute post. I'm still pregnant, but I appreciate the sentiment. I don't mind seeing the different stages of my little boy's life once he's out of the womb, but I do dread teenagerhood, I must admit. I remember what a terror I was at that age.

Pamela- my little guy is only 4 weeks and part of would like to get to the part where he can guve me kisses back, sit up in a high chair, sleep for 6 hour stretches, etc, but I know that I will miss these newborn days once i am out of the thick of it. BTW- don't let people razz you about the Chanel suit and leather seats. It actually illustrates your point better and provides us with a better picture of wher you are coming from.

Pamela I just read the "You will live" person's comments, and I would just ignore that if I were you. This happens to me as well (I think we're in the same profession). It isn't a sin to be a professional, and you can still be a good mom and have mom feelings without having to worry about someone bashing you about it.

Know how you feel. Cant beleive Kodi is 3 1/2 months already. Seems like yesterday he was a little 5 pd 10 oz person totally dependant on me. Now he wants to do his own thing.
