HELP Baby Can T Eat Rice Cereal

my 5 month old son can't eat rice cereal because every time I give him some, he breaks out in an eczema-like rash on his cheeks. My question is what should I give him next? Barley, wheat, or oatmeal. I'm scared to try anything. He is hungry for it though, he loved the cereal. Little guy sure loves squash and sweet potatoes, should I just give him fruit and veggies??

my son was allergic to rice cereal too, but did fine on oatmeal. Just make sure you introduce new foods a week or so apart, incase of a reaction, that way you can know what did it.

Next is oatmeal, then barley. That's what I've been told.
