i am 6 days late. i went to the doctor this am and she told me i was 4 cent dialated and my cervix was completly thinned and i was bleeding. 3 hours and many contractions later i go to the hospital and another doctor from the practice checks me and tells me my cervix is still thick and im only 1 cent dialated. my last two appts. before today i was told 1.5 cent dialated what is going on

Wow that is weird! i would be asking some questions. being 4 and 1 is a big difference and seems like thay would be hard to mistake. i would call you doc and talk to him.

I have read that stress can cause dialation to go in reverse!

sounds weird, although your baby will come when ready, some women are 3 cent dilated for weeks, me i was 1cent 3 hours before delivery!!!

They tried that with me! On saturday (last week) they told me I was 3cms. Then on Saturday night they said I was only 1.5cms. I'm sure they just guess half the time. Anyways, on the early hours of Monday morning I had my son. But he was 15 days late.
