Bleeding After Internal Exam

Hey I am 40 weeks 4 days. Today I had internal exam, I am just 2 cm dilated 50% effaced..I had some bleeding after exam..Is that normal? I am having lots of lower back pain and lower abdomen pain after internal exam..Is this normal?

HI, yes it is normal to bleed a little after an internal exam, you are fine as long as it stops. I do not know about the back and abdomen pain though, I do not think an internal exam would cause pain, but you are 40 weeks so perhaps it just helped you get moving a bit. Is this you first pregnancy. If it is not you can go from 2cm to 5cm in a very short time so It may not be lang for you. Good luck

It is completley normal, don't worry about it.Were you due on the 3rd of September? Because so was I, but i'm still waiting....i'll be induced next wednesday. How about you?
