I'm being induced Tuesday. My Dr. wants me to go in Monday night to start cervidil. I'm almost 2cm now. Then wants to start pit at 6 am Tuesday. My question is how well does the cervidil work and does it hurt when they put it in. Will the cervidil put me into labor be4 the morning.

it depends....some woman it puts them into labor and other woman need the pitocin on top of the cervidil. My sis just had the cerv. and it put her into labor.....its just a pill they stick in/near your cervix, so it shouldn't hurt anymore than a pelvic exam. I am thinking if you are dilated already, the cervidil may put you into labor.

I'm almost 2cm dilated now. I have to go in Monday morning for my Dr. to check me one more time be4 Tuesday. I might not even need the cervidil.

they still may use the cervidil. My sister was 3cm and like 80% effaced and they used the cervidil for her and it sent her into labor and she never used the pitocin......pitocin is worse than cervidil, so I would try the cervidil first if thats what they want to do..good luck!

That what I'm hoping for. I did the pit with my first and I want them to use the cervidil to put me into labor and have the baby Monday night or early Tuesday morning.

I know, pitocin sucks!! My doctor is going to induce me at 39 weeks if I don't have her before then and she told me since how I am so far progressed already, this time around she will just try to break my water first to see if that puts me into labor, and if not then she will start the pit. drip...I had pit. w/ my son and the contractions got so painful right away!!

I'm having BH I think. I've been getting all day. When I have them it pressure and almost like she is pushing up into my chest. Its so uncomforable. Tammy you have 2 weeks to go then. Keep me updated

I think I may go into labor any time now!! I have been having contractions every 10 minutes since 7:00 and it is now midnight and am still getting them...except they are not getting any closer together ;( Maybe DH and I will have to try some luvin tonight to see if that helps things along a bit!

I go in on monday for the gel as well. My doc says my cervix is ready and if we just give it a little push i should go into labor. And if that doesn't work monday, im getting induced on friday. Good Luck ladies with yours.

Well ladies this is it for me. Baby Skylar will be here tomorrow if not tonight. I go in at 6:00 tonight to get things started. I can't wait to meet her. God Bless all and Good Luck to all
