I'm so appalled by this pooping on the delivery table thing. Is it really common? Tell me stories..give me comfort. I'm freaking out!

my friend just had a baby girl in may, right before i found out i was expecting. i asked her about this issue, as she too was worried about it. She said she did have a bowel movement and didnt even notice it. the only reason she knows is because baby daddy told her he saw it, but the nurse or dr. was there and wiped it away before anything! so you see, she didnt even know! and i am SURE it happens often. i'm not so worried about it, just how bad my husband will make fun of me when i am feeling better! hehe

If you are really worried about it you can request an enema to get everything cleaned out. Its understandable if you don't notice if you do do it, because (I know this will sound gross) but when you are pushing it feels alot like having a bowel movement...just on a large scale. When I was just about to push with my first baby they told me thats how it would feel if I was doing it right. *shrugs* You will also be so wrapped up in the moment that you won't care, all you'll want is the baby out.
