I am 38 weeks today with my first child. I am 2 centimeters dialated but they said I am still thick. Did not give me a %. How quickly can you become 100% effaced?

there is no time frame all I can tell you is on Friday of last week I was checked and they told me my cervex was closed and long, and hard...on Wednesday I had some cramping (my hubby was gone to work for 10 weeks and came home so we made love right after I was in pain for hours and hours...but it went away) Thursday I went to the hospital cause I had flank pain (my kidneys were acting up...I ended up being hospitilized) they checked my cervex and I was totally effaced and 3 cm dilated...so have s_x, and pa__s some kidney stones ;)
