If I am fused from T5 to L3 (dut to scoliosis), will I still be able to have an epidural during labor?

I think you will have to ask your dr that. They will have to decide, I have no idea. And an epidural is good when your in that much pain..

Hi i am fused at L4, L5, S1 and i can have an epidural apparently epediural is effective at a certain level only you certainly need to check that out you also may be told that you can not have a natural birth.

I have instrumental spinal fusion due to scoliosis. I had Great epidurals with both of my children.

I am fused from T3 to L3 and am having the hardest time getting that same question answered. Let me know what you find out. My doctor told me that it was basically up to the anesthesiologist... yikes!

I think that is a question you need to talk to your doc ab bc if someone here gives u an answer that could be wrong, that could really be dangerous, so u should ask ur doctor!
