Wow even to write this i am in pain and major pain....Im not sure what i should do?!?!?! I have the most intense pain in my lower back that radiats but nothing in my abdomin...It is so hard to time these pains as it is just kind of steady. It gets really painful for a few seconds where i could cry and drop to my knees and then it eases off but no matter what position i am in or what i do it hurts and it doesnt ease until it is ready....how am i suppose to know when to go to the hospital if i cant get these back pains timed. I am 3 days overdue btw.....i hope someone can help me ASAP

This type of pain was what sent me packing and to the hospital when I was pregnant with DD 7 years ago. And from what I remember it never went to the front till right before I got my epidural at about 6 cms. SO keep an eye out and when it gets to the point where you can't do anything and can't get it to go, head out to the hospital because some people experience back labor and that's all they end up feeling.

I had the same experience myself, but it only lasted one day. so I have no answer for you, but it's nice to know someone else is going through what I went through! My doctor was guessing that it could be the baby just being in a bad position (since my pain didn't come back after that day). I wonder if it could've been back contractions though, because I am now 1cm dilated (and I've had no contractions yet that I know of). who knows!

Oh and the last dr. appointment I had I was already 4cm dilated. Ive now been dealing with these pains for about 10 hrs....But they are never 5min apart for a steady time period
