How long does it take for the castor oil (if you body is going to let it) take to work

i took it at 1:30pm and i started gettin contractions at 7:30pm, they were ok at first, then they built up and the midwife gave me sum cocodamol and they stopped =(, im only dilated 1cm and im so frustrated, this baby just doesn't wanna come out :( be careful how much you take though because too much will just keep u on the toilet all night, and after u take it make sure u go out for a walk, take the dog out or just a walk around the block. good luck xx

I took it w/ my daughter at 3 or 4pm. Had my first contraction at 9:40pm. Had my daughter at 6:17pm the next day. I am pregnant w/ my boy now. I'm due on the 25th. I took castor oil yesterday and starting having contractions very spiratically last night, and lost my plug this morning at 4am. I haven't felt anything since about 8am this morning. Hmmmmm...
