Walking While Dialated And Effaced

If Im 3 cm dialated and about 100% effaced will walking help bring labor on faster. I am 38w 2d...Any advice on bringing this baby into the world sooner than October would be much appreciated. I DONT want her to be born the same month as MIL.....SHE'S CRAZY!!!!

doctors will recommend it, wether is works has never been tested aside from anecdotal evidence---but lots of mommies will say they spent the whole day walking around the mall and by the evening they were in labour. Couldn't hurt to try!! Good luck

i am the exact same- 3cm and 100% effaced (i'm 40 weeks though.) i've been walking like crazy for the past 3 days, and all it's done is give me irregular contractions. i think if you're body is ready, walking will help. try walking uphill, that gave me really bad contractions!
