I am 38 and 1/2 wks pregnant and I was 1 cm and 50% effaced one week ago. I have walked and walked and had intercourse. I've had cramps and horrible backaches. How far away could labor be?

I walked everday at 2 cm. my Dr had to strip my membranes I went in labor 3am the next morning.

My doctor said this coming monday he could strip them..I have heard it is very painful? Did it seem to bother you?

It only hurts if he does it to long or pushes up in there to hard. but the longer he does it the better chances you have to going into labor. sooner.

yeah the longer he strips the membranes the more effective
