I have been watching the forums here, and they have helped a lot. Maybe someone has had the same experience as me and can share..... I went to get examined because I thought I was leaking fluid, but it turns out I actually was having contractions every 5 minutes. I didn't feel all of them, but I had been feeling them for about a week. I just thought they were a sign of getting closer to 40 weeks. I was sent home with procardia, and went to see my doctor again two days later. I was 1 cm at the first exam and about 2cm at the second exam. I was 70% effaced and firm the first time, and the second she said I was still thin, but I was soft now. I lost my mucus plug between these exams also. I was told to stay home from work, but not complete bedrest. I have not slept at all the past three nights and I keep watching to see if I should call my doctor. I eventually fall asleep and feel okay in the morning. I feel contractions all day but they intensify at night. I also have dropped over the weekend. Any advice? Do you think I'm close to labor???
