Has anyone been dilated 2 cm and 50 % effaced and been checked again, just to be told that you are now only 1cm dilated?

Hey sabrina.. conratulations on the birth of your baby. It sounds like you weren't quite 37 weeks when you had your baby. How much did he/she weigh? I am almost 37 weeks and am having lots of pressure and contractions. I just want my baby to big enough. :)

My son was 6lbs 5oz the doc said that if i would have went full term my son would have been over 8lbs. My daughter( my first child) was 5lbs 1oz she was only 2 wks early, the hospital pediatrician said she was a little small but she was very healthy. Don't be alarmed if your baby is a little small my doc said that size dosn't matter all that matters it's the lungs that matter they have to be mature. The only problem you may have is 'oh my god how do I hold him/her will i break him/her"? The answer is no you won't Just be mommy and love your baby more than anything else in the world. I hope I helped answer your question. good luck with your new little one when he/she arrives like I said it may be sooner than you think! And Lindsay if you have any more questions email me at mjasinski12000@yahoo.com.

I'm in my 38th week and in the last few weeks, have noticed a fishy smell that comes and goes, my doc says it's norma, have anyone else gone through this?

Sabrina - August 17

Fina to answer your question yes I had the same problem. My doc also told me it was normal. Don't worry there is nothing wrong, it;s a natural thing most pregnant women go through. Good luck when your little one is born!

I had my baby in August 16th, I was 3 cm dilated 90 % effaced, they sent me home. The next day I had my baby, when you are in active labor you should change dilatation every 30 minutes to an hour, when you show changes every hour regardless of the dilation amount they keep you.

hotissue - November 12

I am 37 weeks, 1cm dilated 50% effaced. Today I have dull lower back pain and slightly yellowish discharge, not too much but it has a yeasty odor. Im concerned that if I deliver soon I might pa__s on a yeast infection to the baby known as thrush. Does anyone know how to avoid this?
