At week 24 my Dr. sent us in for an ultrasound of the baby's heart because my daughter had a defect. Luckily his is fine but he measured at 27 weeks! I have been boarderline diabetic and now am 39 weeks the Dr said he is on the "big side of 8.5lbs" I am small (5'2" 130lbs) and am really worried about having such a big baby. By my last appointment I was still just dialated to a 2 and was thick. He said the baby is still high. Should I ask about induction before he gets too big I have been in twice for false labor since 32 weeks, but was sent home for not dialating. Should I ask my Dr about induction or C section before it is too late?

You should surley ask about being induced. Especially if your baby is soo big. My first was 8.4 and I am 5'1 and was a little as 125 at the end. He ended up tearing my ligaments in my pelvis. Ask your doc.
