Well...I think so. Once it breaks usually you dilate pretty quickly though. My water had to be broken or me, and I was four centimeters dilated:)

I was admitted to thehospital at 4cm. My OB didn't break my water until I was at 6cm b/c it hadn't happened on it's own and it had already been a couple hours.
