every person ive done this test on it has went sideways for boy and up and down for girl it has been right every time

Here is what I have found about this test. It is clearest if you hold it over the palm of your hand. If it goes back and forth it's a boy. If it goes in a clockwise cirle then it's a girl. This does count miscarriages. ALSO, you can do this over a man's hand and it will also predict the s_x of his children also!!!! This has been accurate for everyone I know. You don't have to know how it works to just plain know it works. I think those who actually don't believe are closed-minded and those who say it's wrong must not be doing it right.

My sister took the test and it was right - 3 boys. I have given the test to numerous people in my office some with grown kids some pregnant some not pregnant yet and so far it's been right every time. My fiance has a boy and a girl so my friend gave the test to me seperate and unknown to him, it came out one girl. She gave the test to him it came out girl, boy, girl. I'll have to let you know on this one, I'm not pregnant yet.

Here is some additional info to prove that the pencil test is valid if done correctly. I have had 3 pregnancies(1 ending in miscarriage) and am currently still under the same roof as their dad. He had a vasectomy. When I was pregnant with our 2nd son was born a man at our church came up and told me that my 4th would be a girl. The one I lost was a girl. I told this man that he must be wrong because my husband was going to get snipped and we'd make absolutely sure there wouldn't be any accidental pregnancies. Well, fast forward a few years....lack of love, no s_xual contact at all, etc and me in a relationship with someone else(while staying together for the kids). I decided to get an IUD as birth control and suddenly there was another girl and two boys added to the pencil test!!!! Due to how my family feels about my situation I had broken things off with this man. The pencil test went back to only my 3 pregnancies. Now that I am making up for my mistake the girl and two boys are added back on when I do the pencil test. If this test had something to do with the movement of the hand, etc then what has happened with me would not have changed like it did. I have always had a very steady hand when doing this test. I DO have complete trust in this test and I don't care if there is no reasonable explanation for it. :)

I did the ring test on me and i am not pregnant but engaged. It swings up and down for a boy, then stops. Then up and down again, then stops completley. There are no circles in between, so does this mean 2 boys seperatly, or twin boys??

To answer the single boys or twins question. There is no way of being able to tell whether it's one pregnancy or multiple pregnancies. It would only tell you what the s_x of children would be and the order they'll be in.

An addition to my soap opera! I had a serious discussion with the man in my life(I had gotten girl, boy, boy after getting an IUD) and I found out that he does not want children of his own. Anyway, since I have 2 boys I told him that I would do without more children just to have him in my life. Right after I did the pencil/needle test and there are NO MORE CHILDREN. Now, for those that actually believe this doesn't really work....look at all my posts and try to prove me wrong. :)

ok . i did the test and mine circles then goes sort of horizontal ( more fingertip to elbow) then goes crazy going fingertip to elbow ( about 25-30 swings) then stops. Any ideas on this? Im not pregnant. Does this mean one boy or multiple boys... any guesses?

Casey, can you explain crazy? Is it a full swing or is it just a tiny movement? Tiny crazy movements mean miscarriage. Unfortunately, I've experienced that one. However, later it did reveal that the one I lost was a girl but that wasn't until after the next child was born.

Has anyone else tested the needle/pencil by moving your hand slightly the opposite direction the pencil is going? I tried a few different movements of my hand and that pencil STILL did the same boy, girl, boy. It's like it just makes up for what you're doing. Guess that whole hand movement making it happen is wrong. :)

jo, thanks for your response. it went full swing, not tiny movements. also for naysayers; i did my test on my mother this morning. she was pregnant 5 times 3 resulted in miscarriages. the needle test was correct for the three that she knew what the s_xes were and the other two clearly said boy. ( which we will never know if that is correct or not) then after the last one it stopped dead. strange coincedence...i think not.

How do you do it if you are pregnant right now? I have two girls and am wondering what the s_x of this third baby is. I'm only 8 weeks pregnant. Is this too early to tell? Should I do it over my stomach or my wrist?

Meggan, I would hold it over the palm of your hand. It should start with the children you already have and then add on. :) You don't even have to wait til you're pregnant to do this so it should work for you at 8 weeks.

Do you know why it's always correct on all of your mothers when you do it? Because you already know what she has had and your mind does the swinging for you!! This is the truth!! Do it on people who have not already had children and then tell me the results, and I bet it's 50/50. The reason it gets people right that already have kids is because you already know the s_x of their babies, and subconsciously you swing for the s_x of baby that's coming up next because you already know it! A co-worker did this on me when I was pregnant with baby #2 and it said girl. He is ALL boy!! This is just silly.

All I know is that I've even done it on my two boys and it's said what they'll have...and it's not 50/50. I choose to go with the majority of people in saying that for some reason this does say what kids are. If it had something to do with the mind then my two sons would have come up as girls because I was hoping for a girl both times. :)
