Start Labor

Evening primrose oil to helps ripen your cervix. You can get capsules at a pharmacy, they're like vitimin e oil pills, but a little larger. You can insert 3-4 of them as far back into your v____a as you can reach, the closer to your cervix, the better. If you can reach your cervex well, then you can even ma__sage the oil directally onto your cervix. If you don't feel comfterable inserting them, you can swallow 1 pill 3 times a day. This has the same effect, just not as potent. S_x works too. Semen have progastelins (sp?) in them that also ripen the cervix. Orgasim stimulates the uterus to contract. Walking and pelvic rocks help too, but if your body isnt ready, try as hard as you'd like, nothing will happen. You'll only exaust yourself. Good luck!

The placenta is like a filter that allows some things thru to ur baby and not others, as far as I know castor oil is just an old fashioned laxative and cannot directly affect your baby, as even if it could it would go thru to the baby's blood stream and would not be absorbed into the stomach or bowel. The only thing that I am aware of is that your bowel contracting may cause your uterus to contract but only if it's ready, the opposite is also tru as when i've had really bad period pains i've often needed to poop. Meconium is the result of fetal stress, which can be caused by any number of reasons, long labor, being overdue etc. I don't think you should judge either way, if it was so dangerous there would be strict warnings not to take it during pregnancy by all medical staff. They do say consult your doctor to cover their own backs just in case...but at the end of the day it's up to you. The most that will probably happen to most ppl is an upset stomach

I asked my doctor today, and she said the only thing that really works is walking and intercourse. But if the baby isn't ready, it's just not going to happen.

take a bath in clary sage oil. this softens the uterus and helps with the labour. do not use more than 5 drops in the bath as it can irritate the skin

i am 37wks with my second pregnancy i had twins the last time so was early with them anyway as my doctor wouldn't let me go over 37wks but my sister drank raspberry leaf tea with her third child and she had a very quick labour she didn't even make it past the front yard! the baby was born in the ambulance. i am goning to try the tea myself this week so hopefully i will have him soon.

My first, I took one goldenseal tablet...went into labor three hours later (she was 5 days late. MY 2nd preg. my midwife told me that goldenseal is a real potent herb and not good for inducing b/c it treats the baby as a forign objet that doesn;t belong there, and rids it...So, Isaac, #2 was going on two weeks late, I tried bl/blue cohash, cottenroot, no lasting contractions, nipple stimulation, s_x, pineapple juice, and after my midwife had no choice, she stripped my membranes. My placenta was beginning to not work as efficently and since I had to go for non stress test at the hosp. the drs almost wouldn't let me leave. I had to call my midwife so she could tell off the dr... I went home and the next day we decided baby was probably not comming on his own....I took castor oil,,,,never again! a hug BLACK coffee and continued with my herbs, nothing...finally that night she came and broke my water...Isaac , 10 pounds, popped out at home three hours later!

There are lots of things, having s_x, eating hot curry, I dont know if they are true, I had s_x a couple of days before and that might have done it.
