A Wee bit worried - December 5

Im worried about this... you know how like when you go to the toilet, and push out a poo... without fail.. you always wee aswell, if it takes a long time to come out, you usually wee like half way through.. is it the same as when your having a baby.. all that pushing, does it lead to you weeing everywhere? im worried about that.. anyone got any advise for me?

No,not something you need to worry about. When it finally comes time to push, your babies head will be pressing on your urethra ( that is where the wee comes from) and nothing could get through even if you wanted it to... no worries, mama!

there is nothing to worry... about in the peeing side of things but you will most likely do a little poo with all the pressure and pushing... this is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.. just about everyone does and the midwives are great and dont even blink..

i was told by my nurse that i did pee during pushing stage, but at that point all you really care about is getting that baby out; don't worry about it--they;ve seen it all.

The dr.s will see much worse! haha. don't worry about it, when your in labor, that's the last thing that you will be thinking about. Everybody pees:)

I spent a lot of time in the tub while I laboured and at first was getting out to pee. The best news I ever heard was from my midwives who said - just pee! Wherever you are if you have to, no big deal. It really eased my mind.

I had an epidural so I had a foley catheter in. They take it out when it is time to push, and beforehand empty your bladder, so if you have an epidural you don't need to worry. You shouldn't worry anyways, all kinds of fluids will be coming out of you!
