Hello everyone, some of you might remember me in the 'Third Trimester' when I was pregnant at the time. I had a baby boy on November 10th, 2007. I got my 1st period around December 16th. I've had unprotected s_x with my hubby and haven't yet gotten my period for January yet?? Anybody know if the cylcle is just off from giving birth a couple months ago, or if it's more likely that I'm pregnant?? Justin Alexander was our first baby and we definately want more, just really didn't think it could or would happen so soon- IF that's the case. My ob/gyn said it could take until about April before it's completely back on track but I believe he meant the flow of it, since it was way heavier and longer than usual (from giving birth). Anybody have any thoughts or opinions on this?? I appreciate your responses.

well i think if you dont have a period in a day or so i would take a hpt. just to be on the safe side. because you are very fertil right after giving birth.but good luck

I had my DD on Oct 16,07 I had a period the 28th of Nov. I have not had one since. I have taken a pregnancy test a few times all Neg. Are you b___st feeding? Sometimes after birth you can have a early period then skip one mopnth or many before having another especially if you are b___stfeeding.

That's very helpful. Maybe I'm just skipping a month as well. Sounds very similar. Is it strange do you think, that about a week ago, I got bad period cramps (normal for me), and nothing happened. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. Wow, I can't believe you haven't had it since and you're not pregnant. I am formula feeding. You?

I have had period cramps a few times. I had them right when I thought I would be due to start again but nothing. I am b___stfeeding. I wasa suprised I started so early. My other kids I was past five months before I got a period. I would say I am not pg due to my test but we have had a few oops.

Your period will be irregular for a while yet, but just because it's not well-timed, it doesn't mean that you've stopped ovulating. It's only been two months now, and you really should give your body more time to recover before trying to conceive again -- please start using protection so that your next pregnancy will be a successful one.

Malica, I know it's probably better to wait a little bit between pregnancies, but plenty of people have kids very close together that are very successful. I'm far from perfect, but I had an amazingly healthy pregnancy and bounced back so quickly thereafter. I feel healthy and am healthy and figure, why wait? If anybody is to have kids 10 months or so apart, why not someone like myself who had what I could actually call an easy pregnancy and labor. One push, no drugs, he was out. Energetic the entire pregnancy, never sick. Great baby. Why wait? I know lots of women that could never imagine getting pregnant right away because of what their pregnancy put them through, and that's very understandable. Mine just wasn't like that.
