My husband and I have a two year old that was the product of birth control. We have been using condoms since he was born thinking this would be better and so far it has. We use them everytime, now I'm two weeks late and showing some signs. Were kind of excited at the thought of another child. I'm scared to take a hpt for being dissapointed it will be negative, can you get pregnant even if the condom doesnt tear or slip off? Thank you

Condoms do still have a very small failure rate even if it's used perfectly, doesn't rip and doesn't fall off. All forms of birth control do in fact. So it would be unlikely, but it's still possible.
Of the forms of birth control out there condoms are pretty darned good, but there are still better options with lower failure rates. You might want to consider talking to your doctor about an IUD if you're not pregnant and really want to make sure you don't get pregnant.
