Hi there ... I would like to know how effective are the va___al contraceptive films? My husband and I used it for the first time last week (without really reading the instructions closely) and did not wait the whole 15 minutes before having s_x. I am keen to have a pregnancy and would like to know what are the chances. I was in the ovulation window at the time.

Vaginal spermicides are pretty low on the effectiveness list. If it is important not to get pregnant, I would suggest using them in conjunction with condoms, or outside the fertile window. Which said, optimal exposure has only a 30% chance of success in any month, so your VCF probably cut that down to 10%. Don't hold your breath waiting for a positive test. Good luck!
