Can you fall pregnant if your over weight?

of course you can. some women have trouble but all in the same way some women have trouble because they smoke, or have fertility problems or poor diet and some have no problem:)

I have a very overweight cousin and she wasn't getting pg so her doctor told her to lose some weight after losing lke 10 pounds she was pregnant - so?? sometimes it's not a lot of weight preventing pregnancy

Being overweight or obese can interfere with fertility. In a lot of cases it might take a bit longer to concieve, but in rare cases it can cause infertility. I am very overweight (obese), it took me a little longer to get pregnant. But I really wouldn't recommend trying to get pregnant while severely overweight -- pregnancy is a large enough stress on your body, and doing it while you're already stressing your body with extra weight isn't fun at all.

OMG im so glad someone answered to this. Im a over weight also and i was wondering if thats the reason i mightof not got prego yet. does height have anything to do with it also? cuz im 5'3 and i weight 200 pds on the dot.. [i know] i was never this over weight prob is ive been with my hubby for 5 yrs havin unprotected s_x since the first time and when we first got together i was NOT overweight!! ;) & still never got prego! ladies what can this all mean???? please help

Height only really matters as taller people need to weigh more (and therefore can weigh more than their shorter friends without being considered overweight). After 5 years of unprotected s_x and not conceiving, you need to take this up with your doctor so he can investigate the cause.
