If my period is due on the 5th Feb is it still too early to take a preg test?

Its worth a shot i know there are tests when it detects the pregnancy hormone a week before your first missed period. They are like $5 more then the other ones. If you do take one and it says neg i would wait 1 more week and take another just to be sure ya know? GOODLUCK
