I have a strange question. I tested negative for the GD but they have me checking my blood sugar 4 times a day due to his size and some high amniotic fluid levels. I was wonder, those of you who have GD, what is your blood sugar say 2-3 hours after you eat? And want is considered high? Thank you...

Hey there. I failed the 1 hour and they did not even offer the 3 hour (my regular Dr was out of town) Anyway, I went to the nutritionist at my high risk Dr office and they could not say whether or not I had GD b/c they did not do all the testing. They did put me on a change of eating habit plan (I don't like the word diet). and I too have to check my blood 4 times a day. From the paperwork that I have it says morning before breakfast should be 60-90 and 2 hours after meals should be 60-120. How far along are you>? How big are they saying your baby is at this point?

I am 31 weeks and he is 4lbs 10 oz. I also have high fluid which should be at like a 14, its at 28. All other test for the fluid have come back negative so they are thinking maybe the 1 hr test was wrong. I took it after breakfast 2hrs it was 134 and then 2 hrs after lunch it was 124. What about you? What are your numbers and how far along are you? Sorry for all the questions...

I have GD and the dr. gave me a little card that says after one hour of eating a meal they want it at 140 or less, and after 2 hours of eating they want it at 120 or less. I don't know after three hours though.

I am 32 weeks now and last week at the 4D ultra sound they est him to be 4lb and 5 oz. I get a weekly news letter about my body and the baby and what is going on and 3-4 pounds at this point was right on track. I don't know if a few oz makes a big difference. I got a call from the nutritionist today and I have to go in tomorrow to get set up for insulin shots in the evening only. My morning numbers have been over 100 and they want them 60-90. There is no other way to control that first number with out meds. The numbers thru out the day are controlled with food. My afternoon numbers stay under 120 usually and I check 2-2.5 hours after I eat. I hope this helps.
