I was just taken off of terbutaline today and told that the next time I go into labor the doctors are not going to try to stop it. I am now 36 weeks. After having stopped the medication I have been having some really hard contractions at irregular timing. Do you think this is my uterus stretching itself out after having been relaxed for so long or are these real? This is my third pregnancy and at my appointment today I was still 1 cm, 50% effaced and -3.

If they aren't regular, then they are probably braxton hicks. 1 cm, 50% and -3 sounds like you'll have some time to figure out if its real labor or not when it begins. good luck!
