Hi! I lost my mucuos plug a week ago but started having bloody show (red/pink streaks in discharge) yesterday. I don't think I'm having contractions yet, just lower back pain and the tops of my legs. I feel a little fluish but nothing terrible. Is this the beginning of labor? I have read conflicting reports that bloody show always indicates labor is close and sometimes it can be weeks in advance - which is right?

It can be either way. In some it happens in the beginning of labor in some it happens weeks before. For me it was a couple weeks prior. Intercourse and exams at the dr can cause it as well.
