HAS ANYONE HAD THEIR TAILBONE HURT ALOT AFTER GIVING VAGINAL BIRTH? I GAVE BIRTH TO MY SON ON 11/9/2005, I PUSHED FOR ONLY AN HOUR. MY TAILBONE STILL HURTS ALOT. HOWEVER I HAD ALOT OF BACK LABOR TOO. I TOLD MY DOCTOR AND THEY SAID IT COULD BE FRACTURED, BUT THERES NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO FOR IT REALLY. THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE MOTRIN AND TO USE A HEATING PAD AND TO SIT ON A DONUT CUSHION. I GO FOR MY CHECKUP ON DEC. 15TH. THEY SAID SEE HOW IT FEELS UNTIL THEN, IF NOT CALL THEM AND THEY WILL LOOK AT IT. ANYONE HAVE THIS HAPPEN??????? AND WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME??? IVE BEEN TAKEN MOTRIN AND USING ICY HOT ON IT, SOMETIMES THE DONUT CUSHION MAKES IT WORSE. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP AND SUGGESTIONS.

my sister's tailbone was fractured when she gave birth. unfurtunately there's not much you can do other than pain meds and wait it out.

SO I HAD MY DOCTORS VISIT YESTERDAY AND YES I DID FRACTURE MY TAILBONE. HE SAID THAT THIS IS VERY COMMON TO HAPPEN DOING THE PUSHING PROCESS. HE SAID JUST TO TAKE MOTRIN FOR THE PAIN. IT FEELS ALOT BETTER NOW THOUGH. I GUESS YOU JUST HAVE TO GO ONE DAY AT A TIME............
