Black cohosh is an herbal. I must caution you, though, using Black Cohosh close to delivery can cause problems (such as elevated blood pressure) in the baby. Our doctors and all my nursing texts say do NOT use it. I know others have, including some members of my family, but I wouldn't personally.

oops, I meant blood pressure problems either elevated OR depressed. It has been around a long time, and is used with some success for female hormone problems, home induction of labor, etc. Most people don't have probs with it. If you decide to take it make sure and discuss it with your care provider. Just because it is an herbal doesn't mean it can't be dangerous or contraindicated in certain cases. Also, if you are on BP meds it can accentuate the medicine's effect on you, giving you dangerously low BP.

I tried it in the form of drops and I got no results. Maybe it will work for you.
