I am going to be a first time mom, and i dont think i want an epidural, seems too talked up and everyone does it. But i dont want to go natural either.
Just wanted to know if anyone had chosen an
alternative medicine and if you were happy with that choice?

At the begining of both labors I was given Stadol. The hospital i use only offers that or an epidural. Stadol is not a pain reliever though. Its just a muscle relaxer. Supposed to make it easier foryou to relax between contractions. I ended up getting the epidural. Check with your doctor and find out what other options are offered. That way you wont hear about something that sounds great and end up not being able to have it cause your doc/hospital wont/doesnt offer it.
