Although I wouldn't run out and buy baby clothes and decorate my nursery based on this mine was right too it said boy which has been confirmed by ultrasound.

my daughter was to have two girls according to many sonograhms, well idid the pencil test and it kept saying a boy and a girl.guess what?that is exactly what she had, each at 8 lbs. both doing great.

I did this when I was younger and back then it had said two boys and then a girl...my first two children are boys but now with this pregnancy the ultrasound said that this one will be a boy...guess I'll find out when its born which was right.

My mother has used this test for years. I guess it used to be used on cows down in the south to find out s_x, twins or single, and miscarriages of babies. I'm having my 5th pregnancy. I have 3 1/2 children. Only one of my children was right on the ultrasound. The other two were wrong with the ultrasound. And that was checking with more than 2 doctors and at different dates. The pencil has never lied to me or anyone that I know of, but the ultrasounds have. I read someone else's reponse to this and she said it circled and went into another kid. Anytime it's circled on me or anyone I knew, it was a miscarriage. Usually when it goes to another child it makes a complete stop, and then goes to that next child. If it doesn't stop, this usually means twins or very close in age with children. I have an 8 yr old, 3 yr old, 2 yr old and one due any day. I personally rely on this pencil test, and so does my friends and family that have seen it work it's magic. You can also use this on men, if they haven't been fixed. It will show past, and future children (if they are to keep having children). If a woman gets fixed or a man gets fixed it can mess up with this test, and usually it doesn't work anymore. And WOMEN.... if you change s_x partners, this pencil test will 99% change as well. So if you have a new husband or s_x partner, do this test again to make sure it's accurate. I've used this over 20 years now. And my mother before me. YES IT REALLY DOES WORK ACCURATLY... BUT YOU MUST USE IT THE RIGHT WAY AS WELL.

I just read Theresa's. With everyone that I've done, it circles in between each of their children. It gave the s_x of the miscarried children. If the circles stood for miscarriages, my sister would've miscarried 9 times. She has 5 kids/2 miscarriages and pregnant now. I've also read how it works different ways for other people. So I'm a__suming it works according to what you believe the directions or swings mean because I've never been wrong with the way i use, even on people I don't know. side-side=girl up-down=boy, circles in between children unless twins

For those of you who think you are so practical, why don't you NOT leave your message here and let the rest of us have fun doing our pencil test!

Their just party poopers who take life way to seriously. This test doesn't do anyone any harm. They have the right to post here, but we can just ignore their comments. :)

The pencil test witht he needle stuck in the eraser has been a tradition in my family for as long as I can remember. It has never been wrong on one woman in my family. It showed every child born to all the mothers and the ones that hadn't been born yet. My great-grandmother had 6 children, it gave the s_x of each one of them in order even the one that was still-born. The same thing is true for all of my aunts and cousins. They even did the test to me when I was 12. It said I would have a boy, then a girl, then twin boys. Eight years later I have my first boy and can't wait to have my little girl. All you have to do is thread the needle and stick it in the end of the pencil eraser. Make sure your pencil is sharpened. Lay your hand flat on a table palm up and have someone else (with a steady hand) hold the pencil by the thread directly over your vein in your wrist. The pencil will move either long ways down your wrist, across your wrist, or in a circle. Have fun. It's always worked like a charm for us.

though only reliable test is an ultrasound and even that has it's faults i did many tests and even did the chinese calender and they all said it was a girl, went to the doctor had an ultrasound and unless a girl has t______es it was gunna be a boy. just be prefered for either, good luck!

I have used this test on myself as well as on all of my friends and family. So far the test has been amazingly accurate. To those who say a thread, needle and pencil cannot determine the s_x of a baby you are correct it doesn't decide the gender, God does that, but it lets you know what it is. And a word of advice for the nay sayers....if you don't like the idea the simple solution is don't do, but don't look down your nose a those who choose to have a little fun in the process of being pregnant. Take your grumpy negative opinions eslewhere. This is for fun so don't ruin it with your att_tude.....thank you!

My family has been doing this test for over 60 years and it has never been wrong. The way our family does it is as follows: Thread a needle and push it through the side of an eraser coming out the other side. Remove the needle and you only have a threaded pencil. Hold the pencil tip in front of the pregnant woman's belly. When the pencil picks up the heart beat it will begin to move, if it goes in a circle the baby is female, if the pencil goes from side to side it is a boy. You can test this over the heart of an adult and it will work each time as well. Back and forth for a man and a circle for a female. I did this test today for a co-worker and it circled first and then went back and forth which means that she is having twins. Be patient, sometimes it may take a while to pick up the heart beat. As previously stated... we shall see, she is only 11 weeks along.

We tried this at work the other day, it was right for everyone that has kids, my boss has none and doesnt want any, the pencil did not move over her at all, then we did it to me, it said girl, boy, boy, boy, girl, boy, boy, so if this is true then wish me luck! lol. I have also been with the same guy for over 4 years and we have plans to get married, I tried it on him and it did the same thing as me. It was sooo weird!

Yes, the pencil test does work. It's really creapy actually. I have done it to my self about 50 times now and it says i will have 2 boys. i have done it to my boyfriend of 2 1/2 yrs about 25 times and it says 2 boys. i thought i would test it on friends and family who have already had kids and it was never ever wronge. my grandma had 8 kids and it did every single kid in a row. i have done it to about 50 people and it works. and the scariest part about it is, at the end it just completely stops. we did it with a fan and also outside on a windy day and it just dead stops. it works but really creepy.
