Yes it is! It said I would have 1 girl even before i was pregnant and sure enough I am having a girl!!!

I have done the pencil test and it said my first born who is 13 said it would be a boy. I than miscarried a girl than when I was pg with my know 11 mnth old boy it said I was having a boy.

A lady did the pencil test on me 6 years ago and it said I would have a boy, then boy/girl twins. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for the longest now, without any luck. My doctor told me that I don't ovulate and would require a specialist. I can't afford invitro, so out of curiousity I tried the pencil test again to see. The test still says boy and boy/girl twins. I tried it on my sister to make sure and it gave all of her kids including miscarriages that I didn't know about, but she confirmed them. But to my knowledge boy=up & down from wrist to elboy. girl=side to side across wrist and it circles in between children.

hi Ash. My grandmother did the "needle and thread" test to me when I was 18 weeks and it said i was having a girl and then it said my next would be a boy. So far its write i'm having a girl!..She has done it to my mother and my aunts and has been right for everyone of them. Maybe its just luck. I also tried the chinese table to find out if i was having a girl or a boy, and it also said girl. I probably just got lucky, but its fun to experament with different games. Good luck and i hope the baby turns out to be what s_x u want!

there is also a drano one if you pee in drano and it turns a certian color its a boy and if it turns another color its a girl but i cant remember what

The pencil test has worked on me. I have two girls and it was right! We are trying for the third and final, and the pencil test says I am having a boy and then it doesn't circle and goes directly into a girl. Twins??? They do run in both sides of my family and I had a very vivid dream b4 i did the test that said I was having twins - 1 boy and then 20 minutes later I had a little girl!!! We'll see.....

I think that those are just old wives' tales (as they say), but I have heard that the chinese lunar calendar is pretty accurate.

Yes, I have been doing it for about 5 years and so far it is without a doubt very accurate. The way I do it, it tells you the s_x of all of your children that your "suppose to have" and goes in order. It also works on your husband. His does the same thing as mine no matter how many times I have done it!
There has to be something to do with the lead in the pencil and the iron in your blood.The only time I have been wrong is one someone who is older, which has something to do with hormones. If it goes from fingers to up towards elbow on a woman that is a girl which would be the same blood line, on a man, it is opposite. Is does also work on someone who is not pregnant yet, it would tell you what you should have and in birth order. If I had not done it to so so many people I would think it was crazy too! Whats it gonna hurt ? If you dont belive in things like this, just dont do it. As for the twins, I have a set and while it is circleing between them, my circles get real big. I have 4 children and it was always right! I have people wanting me to do it everywhere I go!

My aunt did it to her friends and family, so far, they were all accurate. there's no harm in trying as long as you don't take it to heart. U will only realize the pencil test works is when you're past your child bearing age.

In the past everytime the test was done to me it would circle for a long time then go up-down(boy), circles and then side-side, stop go directly to up-down, stop then side-side again and stop. Does that mean triplets? It does the same on my husband. But, now when I do it;it goes directly into boy without circling and only does boy. I did the wedding ring thing over my belly and it goes in really big circles. I did a preg. test and it's negative. Can anyone explain this?

i have just this minute done the test with a piece of hair and my wedding ring i have six children 1 boy 5 girls in between my son and eldest daughter i had identical twin boys<i stillborn other lived for 7 days> i am also trying for another baby in the test it was correct in every one of my chils gender if i am to have another<please god> it has predited that it will be a boy.i have to say it might be just a bit of fun but it makes you wonder
