i went to the hospital last night and the doctor said that i have dialated to a 2. but, he sent me home because i wasn't hurting that bad. will i go into real labor soon?

The same thing happened to me with my first. I was having inconsistent contractions and I was dialated at a 2. They sent me home at 11 in the morning. I went back at 6:30 that night with contractions 3-4 min apart and I was dialated to a 6. I had her around 10:30 that night. I am sure every pregnancy is different, but I walked a lot that day and spent a lot of time in the shower. That seemed to help me.

Or you could walk around 2 cm dilated for weeks still. How far along are you? GL, hopefully it's soon!

I seem to be experiencing the same thing. I have been dilated 2 cm and effaced for 2 weeks!!!! I had 3 min contractions for several hours yesterday but the pain was not painful enough to go to the hospital. As before, the contractions eventally spaced out. I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and figured the baby would have been here by now.

Dilated 2 cm and effaced 90% for the past 2 weeks and still no baby!!

could so, but mabey not i was 2 cm at 38 weeks and went 3 days over due!! Hope you have a great labor!!
