I am close to 39 weeks and just 2 days ago I think I experienced a BH contraction. The thing is my stomach barely tightened, & I felt alot of pressure down below. The pressure can only be described as needing to urine X5...That pain stayed for 1-1.5 minutes, I walked around and breathed calmly. Then it went away, It happened again the next night, around the same time. But these were longer and more painful. The first "wave" was 1-1.5 mins..the next was about 1 minute. I started to walk around, the pain went away for like a second then came back....I called the doctor went in and everything was OK...but is that what is was supposed to feel like...????..

I think so. That is what mine would do. There was a morning that I had BH and I timed them for 2 hours about 30 mintues apart, and I had back pain with them as well, and then they went away. My dr explained to me that the BH are under your belly, and the real contractions start from the top of your uterus to the bottom and that it is suppose to feel like a really tight basketball inside. He stated that there will be no question of it. I have had BH pains since my 7th month on and off. I think that they suck, because you want to think that it is the real thing!!
