Week 32
Now that you are 32 weeks pregnant, at this stage, your baby weighs around four pounds (1702 grams). All five senses are now working and it's time ofr the final touches! Baby's fingernails and toenails are grown, and he now has eyelashes, eyebrows and hair on his head. (The lanugo hair that covered your baby since the first trimester is starting to fall off but some may still be on his shoulders and back at birth.)
Experiencing Constipation and Heartburn In Pregnancy?
Since your uterus is now about five inches above your navel, you may experience some breathlessness, constipation, heartburn and indigestion. This can be avoided by drinking lots of water, eating small meals and adding fiber to your diet.
Watch for Signs of Preeclampsia
Be aware of the following symptoms: sudden weight gain, changes in your vision or headaches. These symptoms might mean you have preeclampsia and are signs that you should contact your health care provider right away. This condition can cause high blood pressure and can also be quite dangerous.
It can lead to eclampsia, which can then cause seizures, coma or even maternal or fetal death. Preeclampsia affects the mother and fetus during the second and third trimesters. Your health care provier will monitor you for this condition throughout your pregnancy by taking your blood pressure, checking urine samples and looking for swelling.
